George Brown’s Google Sniper product launched on October 15 of 2009, and has been achieving a high volume of sales since its release. It teaches readers how to create an empire of small websites that pull in money. While Google Sniper works, it does omit teaching one critical area of SEO, but you can fill in that knowledge gap with this article.

The foundation of Google Sniper involves picking low competition keywords, creating highly themed content with excellent on-page optimization, and pre-selling your visitors with a review or story. As mentioned in my Google Sniper review, George goes into a great deal of detail on each of these topics. However, the system revolves around the assumption that your chosen keyword’s level of competition is low enough that you will rank naturally without engaging in any link building.

As anyone with any experience in internet marketing can tell you, choosing keywords that accurately is not easy to do. Without that critical keyword selection, your site is probably not going to land on the first page, and the first page is where the sales are.

So how do we fix this problem?

Any professional internet marketer will tell you to just build some links. However, due to George’s aversion to link building, he only discusses this on a cursory level in Google Sniper. As such, adopters of the system may have difficulty finding ideas for building links, so I’ve included a brief primer here.

1. Social Bookmarking: George covers what you need to know about this. Don’t rely too much on these, most bookmarking sites are no-follow, which means that they’re not worth much in Google’s eyes.

2. Link Wheels: This is where you create a chain of web 2.0 properties together that all point back to your site. Google “linkwheel” for more information.

3. Profile Links: Pretty much any site that allows users to register accounts will give you a profile page that you can post a link on. Good examples are Bleacher Report and Ikbis.

4. Blog Commenting: Find blogs that you can leave smart, relevant comments on, and post using your anchor text as your name and don’t forget to put in your URL!

5. Article Submission: Write quality content and submit it to the best article directories you can find. You get a resource box at the end of your article where you can put a short bio or a call to action followed by a link to your money site. In addition to providing you with a powerful link, article directories will often help you to generate additional traffic as they usually rank quite well in the search engines.

With the 5 techniques above, you should be able to boost your Google rankings significantly, even on competitive keywords. Now that you’ve got this knowledge, the one hole in the Google Sniper system has been patched and you’re ready to start building your empire. Hurry up and get started building those sniper sites, your internet fortune is waiting!
